Introducing Australian artist, Gemma O’Brien. She’s not only making waves around the world for her amazing illustrations, but she’s also the most gorgeous, down to earth, beach-loving chick, which makes her a natural choice for our first artist collaboration collection. marie claire magazine featured Gemma this month, spending a day with her to gain a unique insight into her routine and to see how she gets her creative juices flowing.

A good book and a big umbrella.

I love the Sydney Beaches towel and the Desert Blooms kimono.
Your Sydney Beaches illustration features passionfruit and a range of beautiful florals. What fruits and flowers are you vibing this summer?
Mango, dragon fruit and papaya for fruit, and I always love the smell of gardenias blooming as summer sets in.
In between your busy work schedule, do you have any exciting travel plans for summer?
I am looking forward to staying put in Sydney and exploring some new swimming spots up and down the coast.
What is going to be your go to cossie this season?
The Sydney beaches one piece. I took it for a dip at Bronte baths before my recent trip to Shanghai and I love the fit. Feels good to have my artwork on swimwear for the first time too!
