WHEN OUR ROAD TRIP WENT OFF-ROAD WE THREW AWAY THE MAP AND TRUSTED IN THE LOCALS.
To get a taste of the sheer scale of Australia the girls took a drive for a little over an hour outside Broome to Eco Beach Resort – a place where incredible natural beauty sits comfortably with luxury accommodation. The resort embraces it’s wild and unique natural surrounds and offers a laid back Australian glamping experience to match the locale – with an over one kilometre stretch of eco tents connected by elevated, wooden boardwalks.
Our final secret shoot location was only accessible via 4WD along the beachfront from Eco Beach. The remoteness of the location added a calming, more chilled ambiance to the campaign, reflected in the girls themselves as well as some of the dreamier, more evocative pieces in the Summer 2016 collection.
In contrast to the serenity on set, Jimmy and the Eco beach guides decided to occupy themselves with more active pursuits, producing mud crab after mud crab from a landscape that appeared to have more in common with a desert than a creek. Proving yet again there’s no substitute for local knowledge!
We’ve had a love affair with Broome ever since we shot Miranda Kerr here in 2007. Almost 10 years on, we return to our favourite slice of paradise. Explore our shortlist of hot spots you’d be crazy to bypass while on a trip to beautiful Broome;
